Why we work with partners

Zeno Kition covers EU representation, statutory DPO services, compliance kits, and managed compliance. When a matter is best served outside that lane — specialist legal counsel in a specific jurisdiction, a notary, an accountant, or a compliance specialist we do not employ — we bring in a trusted partner, the way we would want it done for ourselves. Partnering is selective: we involve partners only when it genuinely adds value for you.

What we mean by “partner”

• A partner is a separate, independent business we cooperate with for a specific need — not Zeno Kition.
• If a partner performs services on our behalf and processes personal data as our processor (for example, EU representation delivered through our established partner network), it is added to the subprocessors list in the Privacy Policy (§5) before it is used.
• Each partner is responsible for its own part of the work and its own handling of personal data, under its own obligations.
• Partners never receive website visitor data — the site collects nothing about visits, so there is nothing to pass on.

Your data moves only with your confirmation

The rule is simple: before we share any personal data with a partner, we ask you first. When a partner is genuinely needed:

• We tell you who the partner is, why, and what specific data would be shared.
• We ask for your written confirmation for that specific sharing — you can say no, and nothing is forced.
• Your confirmation is your authorisation to us; it does not replace the legal safeguards below, which apply to the transfer in any case.
• We share only the minimum needed, for that engagement — never more, and not by default on an ongoing basis.
• The sharing is recorded, so it is always clear what was shared and why.

The rules we apply

• No personal data to a partner without your confirmation.
• Minimum data, defined purpose — no onward sharing, no selling of your details.
• Cross-border transfers are documented. Where a partner sits in a country without an EU adequacy decision, we use appropriate safeguards under GDPR Article 46 (Standard Contractual Clauses) first; Article 49 derogations apply only to occasional, one-off transfers. A Transfer Impact Assessment is completed for each destination country before any transfer, and each transfer is recorded (as in the Privacy Policy, §7).
• Retention is minimal — only as long as the matter needs it; you may withdraw a confirmation at any time.
• Ask us anytime which partners hold your data and why — we will answer.

Transparency about referrals

We cooperate with partners on a reciprocal basis: when a need is better placed with a partner, the introduction is a professional referral in the usual sense of the term. An agreed referral fee may apply between the businesses for the introduction — never for your personal data. We will always tell you if a referral fee applies to your matter — no hidden economics.
